2020

 The XIXth  Annual International Conference “Leontief Readings” – “Economics and Sociology” – was held on February 14-15, 2020 in the conference hall of the Leontief Centre, St. Petersburg.

The organizer of the conference is the Leontief Centre. The section "Modernization, Economics and Historical Sociology" was organized by the Center for Modernization Research of the European University at St. Petersburg.

The information partners are the journals “Theoretical Economics Issues”, “Finances and Business”.

The conference was attended by leading Russian and foreign scientists representing leading research organizations. Within the framework of the conference, 20 reports were heard and discussed. 

With a special lecture dedicated to the 150th anniversary of V.I. Lenin, “Will Lenin be alive? A politician in the history of the Russian revolution and Russian historical memory”, historian B.I. Kolonitsky (European University at St. Petersburg).

The Ceremony of Awarding the laureates 2019 with the International Leontief Medal "For Contribution to Economic Reforms" took place on February 15, 2020 in the Mikhaylovsky (Ingenerny) Castle.
