The Ceremony of Awarding the International Leontief Award “For Contribution to Economic Reforms 2019” was held in the Mikhailovsky (Engineering) castle in the framework of the annual international conference Leontief Readings on February, 15, 2020.
The ceremony was opened by Irina Karelina, Director-General of the Leontief Centre, and Sergey Vasiliev, Chairman of the Public Committee for Awarding at the Leontief Centre, Honored Economist of the Russian Federation, Academic Supervisor of the Leontief Centre; Leontief Medal “For Achievements in Economy” Laureate (2003).
The laureate 2019 was presented by Mikhail Dmitriev, President of the Business Partnership "New Economic Growth", Laureate of the Leontief Medal “For Achievements in Economy” (2003)
The 2019 medal was awarded for outstanding achievements in the development and teaching of economic theory, active assistance in the formation of civil society and the implementation of economic reforms in Russia to Sergey Guriev, Doctor of Economics, Professor of Economics at the Paris School of Political Sciences (Sciences Po), Rector of the Russian School of Economics (2004-2013)
