On March 1-2, 2024, the 22nd Annual Conference of the Leontief Readings series, entitled "The Genius Loci of Russian Cities," was held in St. Petersburg, Leontief Center Conference Hall. The conference, held in a mixed format, was attended by over 100 people. The conference featured 35 presentations by leading Russian sociologists, geographers, economists, political scientists, and cultural scholars, as well as young scholars studying the characteristics of Russian cities in terms of their social structure, local identity, local environment, and their capacity for modernization and innovation. These presentations were followed by discussions.
